I am a senior executive in the education industry known for being the “calm in the storm”, a reasoned and analytical thinker and collaborative leader who can effectively balance listening and input with timely and effective decision-making and action. Most recently I have grown a publishing business from its infancy to a position of market leadership during a fast-changing and challenging period in the market. I make tough decisions, am not afraid to challenge the status quo, and build collaborative work environments where employees feel valued, motivated and driven to succeed. My personal and professional interests are in mission-driven organizations, with an emphasis on education, world languages and culture, travel, service learning, study abroad and literacy. I am also an active non-profit volunteer, where among other things I serve as Co-Chair of the Boston Chapter of Room to Read, a world organization promoting literacy and gender equality in education and a Mentor for Women Unlimited.
