Mark is an Executive in Residence at Progress Partners. Mark has more than 15 years of experience in multi-media start-up and small businesses leading business development, sales, marketing, strategic client development and operations. Mark leverages this background to advise client companies on development and strategy to build their business for strategic partnership, capital raise, and merger and acquisition. Prior to his role at Progress Partners, Mark spent several years developing Student Advantage, a loyalty, media, event, and transaction processing company focused on the youth/college marketplace. Mark joined the founders and led the development of the local program infrastructure as well as business and partnership development through the company’s IPO and growth to more than 475 employees and more than 3 million members. As a Group Director, Account Services for M|C Communications, Mark managed the development and execution of multi-million dollar educational grants with pharmaceutical companies to deliver continuing medical education programs. Before that, Mark was Associate Publisher with The Pohly Company managing media sales and integrated marketing programs. Mark is a graduate of Boston College and serves on the board of Breakthrough Cambridge, a non-profit program that provides students with year-round, tuition-free academic enrichment programs and teaching opportunities for high school and college-aged teachers.
