Alex Grodd is the founder and CEO of BetterLesson, a curriculum-sharing community that connects teachers and helps them share high-quality lessons and best practices. After graduating from Harvard with a degree in political philosophy, Grodd taught 6th Grade social studies in the Atlanta Public School system as a Teach For America corps member, where he founded the Middle School Debate team and the Outward Bound Club. He then moved to Boston and taught 6th Grade English at Roxbury Preparatory Charter School. He created BetterLesson to address the instructional challenges that he faced during his time in the classroom. BetterLesson has over 275,000 registered teachers and partners with KIPP, Uncommon Schools, Achievement First, and The New Teacher Project, among others.
