LearnLaunch is delighted to be hosting the US East Coast and Canada semi-finals of the 4th year of the Global EdTech Startups Awards – a group of leading education innovation organizations from across the world. The Awards will identify, showcase and recognize the world’s most promising EdTech startups for 2017!
The Global EdTech Startup Awards (GESA) is the world’s largest EdTech startup competition. Initiated by MindCET (Israel), GESA was co-founded by the Open Education Challenge (EU) and EdTech UK in 2014.
Over 2000 startups from across the world have applied to GESA, for the opportunity to be given a global voice and to be crowned the Most Promising EdTech Startup of the year! In addition to promoting the best EdTech startups, GESA helps to build local edtech ecosystems, connect to a global market and provide mentoring. Today GESA has become a significant player in promoting EdTech innovative solutions that address real educational problems.
GESA 2017, alongside the Award for the Most Promising EdTech Startup of the year, will choose Startup winners for 3 new tracks:
3. Artificial Intelligence.
GESA is proud to announce that one of the world’s leaders in fostering design and implementation of innovative solutions to address world’s problems is sponsoring 2 of the tracks: (1) Literacy Track, in partnership with Digital Promise: open to startup companies addressing the need for learning to read and write as well as numeracy, at all levels of education; (2) Artificial Intelligence Track: open to startup companies providing AI educational solutions.
The Innovation track is a new initiative that provides the opportunity to early stage capital to EdTech startups, jointly led by Arie Capital and MindCET – part of The Center for Education Technology in Israel.
Strategic GESA partners: Open Education Challenge (EU)
GESA Sponsors: UK-Israel Edtech Taskforce, the Barbara Bush Foundation for Family Literacy and the Dollar Genral Literacy Foundation.
