Martin Keck is a Principal at Needham & Company where he leads the firm’s Education Technology investment banking practice. Mr. Keck provides capital raising (series B through IPO) and mergers and acquisitions advisory services for education technology companies throughout the US. Mr. Keck is also active in early stage edtech as an angel investor in a few Boston-based edtech companies and as a limited partner in a number of top tier education technology venture funds including Owl Ventures, Reach Capital & ReThink Education.
Mr. Keck joined Needham in 2014 from Expedia, Inc., the leading e-commerce travel site, where he was a Director of Corporate Development. Prior to Expedia, Mr. Keck worked for Bain & Company focusing on private equity, growth strategy and technology engagements, and as well as at Permal Capital, a private equity secondaries firm. Earlier in his career Mr. Keck worked for Silver Lake Partners and began his career at Needham as an investment banking analyst. Mr. Keck received his MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth, where he graduated as a Tuck Scholar with High Distinction and a received his BA from Amherst College.
